#apt-get install tightvncserver
After successful installation then we need to setup password for TightVNC Server, just run:
#vncserver
Enter password when prompted.
Now, try to access the VNC Server, I am using Windows 7 as client. I installed TightVNC for Windows and execute 10.10.10.101:1 as shown below:
After press "Connect" then enter the password that we have created before for the VNC Server. You might also select "Connection profile = Low-bandwidth connection" if you have low speed access to the remote server. You might need to adjust the connection option by click on "Options" as shown below:
NOTE: There is an important different between VNC Server on Windows and Ubuntu. On Windows Server you just enter IP 10.10.10.101, while using Ubuntu as remote server then you need to add the session, so you must enter: 10.10.10.101:1, mean session 1.
Hope this help.
